Nice to see you again in St. Louis. McKeon's piping session still has me mesmerized. I felt I was being swept along in a river of sound.... I guess that's the Rowsome flow.
Sorry I wasn't much for playing the tunes myself, but I don't often get a chance to soak up that much quality music. Bev says that y'all had a l'il snippet of a session when I was hanging in the front bar - I'm glad for that.
The 'penny pendant' was a really nice thing that you did for those folks. I agree that they're a worthy cause.
Hi Bette: I just stumbled on your business card, which I believe you handed me at the Catskills one time--I think, don't quote me. I was wondering if you might be interested in being a vendor at the Somerset Folk Harp Festival this July? I'm putting a big emphasis this year on the Celtic stuff and having a vendor there who can compliment all the harp stuff with jewelry would be a great fit. If you're interested, see our website: http://www.somersetharpfest.com to see what it's all about.
lol i wouldnt miss the opportunity, i just might be a little slow at the draw, i always forget the website so i can't get on! its like a secret little world in here, ya can't find it unless u know what it is! :-P
Hi Bette,
Actually, I'm not far from that trailer park! I live off Berkeley Road back on Mantua Creek. There are pictures of my house and some sessions I've had on my website www.tradtours.com . You'll have to come to the next one! Mantua has changed quite a bit in the last 10 years but it's still fairly rural. See you soon!
I enjoy traveling for work. This time, I am taking the train to Pittsburgh. It takes 7 hours, the same as flying would be. And I can snooze or work or get up and move around.
wishing you safe travel and home again safely,
warmly,
I won't be at the Shanachie tonight as I am teaching from 8-4 and then again from 6-10 tomorrow........being good and resting up for a long day. Then I am going to Pittsburgh to speak at a conference and won't be back until Saturday. Nothing like work to get in the way of fun!
Sunday was so much fun; Tim Britten adds so much to a session!!

Missing you at the sessions. I hope everything is alright, and your absence means that you are moving into your new house with your sweetie!

Nikki
I won't be at the Shanachie tonight either....my first big sweetheart from my senior year in high school is in town and we are visiting.

Nikki

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to use this one for your BallyPhilly profile pic. Do you?Best, Alfred E.
