At 9:13pm on February 15, 2009, Tim Hill said…: i don't think for the workshop, but i'm been DESPERATELY trying to get a ride out to the concert to and back. i would take the workshop for sure, but it's a money thing: I'm dending you 2 checks, one for jerry, and one for your book, and i have a pipes case that cost me a total of 170 coming from Tim Britton that I'm totally paying for, then all the while i've got to save for my Australia/Fiji trip this summer, not to mention the fact that I've got the half-set and the regs to save up for in october. I'll be in the bloody poorhouse by the end of the year!!!!!
lastly, this is totally a what if query, but are you available the weekend of March 13-14, because I'm doing a gig on the 14th, and it would be nice if I could you use your set, although you're probably busy as hellw ith the new baby, which is totally understandable. however, if you did lend me the pipes, the thing in it for you is it would be the last time I would ever be mooching to use your pipes, because my set is coming the week after!

Secondly, You might want to head up to the Irish Center this Friday, if you can, because I'm trying to get Mike Copeland out for a few tunes, as he hasn't been there in almost 2 yrs. You could have take a look at your whistle from him, and see what he can do. Lastly, have you heard any word for when Jerry's comin down to teach. I talked to him at Irsh arts week and he said that he hadn't talked to you yet.

Could you give it a look and tell me what you think? I looked at it myself today, and the guy got a new bag and reed made for it by Eamonn Curran, the resident reedmaker for Armagh Pipers club, and one of my favorite pipers to listen to. Originally, roberts makes bags by gluing thin strips of leather together, thus making a leaky bag. What a dumbass! His reeds are supposedly shite too, but Curran made a new reed for it. Anyway, check it out and tell me if you think its worth the money
