hey mommy,
one question. when I saw you at the teada show over christmas at the irish center, i believe you said you owned an album called The Pipers Rock, featuring young uilleann pipers who are now famous. If you have it, could you burn a copy for me, as it's one I've been looking for for ages and can't find it. Plus, it is probably required listening material for me as well, so it would certainly be nice to own it.
thanks,
tim

Hi Marrianne, did I tell you that I lived in Mantua 1987-89..... in a house in the middle of a trailer park on the south side of town.... small world!

Nice to chat last night at the concert. After I spoke to you, I told my son Michael that you were the voice on the radio show we listen to on Sunday. His jaw dropped and he gave a big "REALLY!" Anyway, just letting you know we are out here in rural, non-crowded Mantua. Enjoyed the show immensly last night. PLease send the info for the benefit to <<bglennan1@verizon.net>>. Travel soft along the "road," we'll be listening for that voice on Sunday. Regards-Bob
Good morning, It was nice chatting last night at the Ceili. Please don't forget to send info for for the benefit, I believe it was for next sunday?, in West Deptford. Hope the airwaves treat you with respect! Bob Glennan
Well, I opted for "realism" :) It was done by Thomas Gainsborough (of Blue Boy fame. The original hangs at the Colchester and Ipswich Museum in Essex (see http://www.ipswich.gov.uk/Services/Museums+and+Mansion/VirtualGallery/William+Wollaston.htm).
I didn't mind the sitting, but he made me pose with one of those Pakistani flutes. Yuck!

Hi, I didn't know that red X meant delete! Of course I remember you, Marianne - from Liz's events (again, RIP), the Irish Center, and also one of Ed Clark's picnics? I didn't know you were doing a radio show - I'll have to tune in. I also did an Irish radio show in Florida YEARS ago - it's a lot of fun.
Hi Marianne: can you put in a plug for the upcoming concerts in the DelVal area by Grainne Hambly & Billy Jackson? They're going to be at the Cultural Center in West Chester on March 8 at 7pm (harp workshops in the afternoon). Advance tickets are $12 & $15 at the door. This is a new venue and they're eager to put on Celtic concerts (sorry but that's the marketing term that helps to sell Irish music to some places) so I hope folks will come out and show them that there's audience out there for great traditional music.
For the South Jersey folks not wanting to travel all the way down to West Chester, they can catch Grainne & Billy at the Perkins Center for the Arts in Moorestown. I just arranged this the other day. Sunday March 9 at 7pm. Tickets $20.
I don't know if any of your audience are down at the Shore, but they'll be in Tuckerton at the Seaport on March 7.
Thanks!
Thanks .I thought this was a great venue for the post.He would have liked it .He loved Ireland .We brought him back a jar of the soil from Mayo on our trip in 2006. We buried it with him this past April.
Frank Malley wants me o do a write up for the Sean Tyrell concert.
Could you give me the details of the concert: is it just Sean; will he have others performing with him; how much music; how much on John Boyle O'Reilly's life and what have you heard about the performance, etc.

warmly, and thanks
I'd like to sign up for the Sept. 5 tour of Gettysburg. I've always wanted to see that place, and drive by it several times a year.
warmly,
Nikki
