I booked these gals at the New Jersey Folk Festival. If you're in the mood for a great, FREE festival, it's April 25, from 11am-6pm, on the Douglass campus at Rutgers University in New Brunswick NJ. Just about 75 minutes from any of the Philly bridges--exit 9 on the Jersey Turnpike. Girsa will be on stage at 1pm.

GIRSA is an all-female traditional Irish band that hails from Pearl River, NY. Their name means "young girls" in Gaelic. The girls grew up in the Irish tradition, dancing and playing music for as long as they can remember. After playing with each other for years, the girls formed a band and have not looked back since. They have just released their debut CD.
