Software and database developer by day and a traditional Irish musician by evening. I was a classically trained percussionist starting in the early 90's and picked up the bodhran as my first traditional instrument in 1995 and, from there, continued on to high and low whistles, octave mandolin and, eventually, DADGAD tuned guitar.
I play most every Wednesday night at A Piece of Ireland in Newark, DE and I session every so often in Philadelphia and its suburbs (The Plough and the Stars and Sligo) as well as New Jersey (Three Beans) on occasion.
I've played at both the Pennsylvania and Maryland renaissance faires as well as with my friends in a group lovingly titled, "In the General Direction of the Wenches," but most commonly with my piper buddy, Dan McHugh.
I'm also the founder and administrator for WhistleThis.com, a free website dedicated to helping folks to learn how to play the tin whistle in the traditional Irish style.
