Born in King of Prussia, PA and raised in the historic Overbrook Farms section, I currently live in New Jersey's central part, (half-hour over the bridge). I travel frequently to visit my many siblings and for occasional Irish events in the Philly area. With an ever-increasing chance of moving back there, I like to keep-up with the goings-on. My father was raised by his two immigrant parents, from County Donegal. With all he shared over the years (that his own parents spoke of), on my first trip there (and since), Donegal feels in ways, much like home. We've maintained constant contact with family still there, working the same land, etc. Though I was just back 2 years ago, I long for the next possible opportunity while my favorite cousin is still around to keep the farm going. Sorry, no photo yet, as I have to figure out where the pics I downloaded, went...ha!

They did not live around moville or terryrone and in my visits haven't heard of those places...sorry about that. My grandfather John Doherty had three sons, one of whom he named John, but that son became a priest. Probably with so many Dohertys in Donegal we can only imagine how many families intermarried there over the centuries! I'd like someday to participate in that DNA test kit program, where they can trace your paternal ancestry or maternal ancestry, or both, etc. But it costs over $200 USD including postage...and I'm not even sure the company is legitimate.
thanks for all the info and i understand that you can't tell me were they live,my grandfather was john doherty it's un likely yhey were related but would you be able to tell me if they lived around moville in a place called terryrone
