About Me:

Part-time Special Ed. teacher, part-time Irish radio host, part-time tour operator, part-time set dancer. I live and work in South Jersey, have three grown children, two grandsons and a very busy life! My favorite things in life are my kids and grandkids, Irish traditional music and dance and travel. You can catch me at the Irish Center, the Shanachie, Emmett's and at various ceilidhs and sessions. I also run traditional dance and music tours to Ireland, Cape Breton, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia.

Cape Breton Music

I've just returned from a 7 day trip to the Canadian Maritimes, PEI, Cape Breton and Halifax, N.S. What great music we had! From a ceili/session in Charlottetown, PEI with Roy Johnstone joined by Fintan Malone to two great days of music with legendary Cape Breton fiddler/piano players Brenda Stubbert and Howie MacDonald to another ceili/session in Halifax with Kevin Roach, and a slew of his friends including Fintan, we had the best of reels, jigs, strathspeys, marches, waltzes, hornpipes and hig… Continue

"Reel" Ireland

Join us as we travel to "Reel" Ireland tomorrow night (March 27) at the Irish Center!
It's the first in a series of Irish films being presented as a joint venture between irishphiladelphia.com (Jeff Meade & Denise Foley), Yours Truly (host of "Come West Along the Road") and the Irish Center. Tomorrow's film is "The Boys and Girl from Co. Clare" which is a light romance/comedy about two brothers going head-to-head at the All Ireland Ceili Band competition. one question. when I saw you at the teada show over christmas at the irish center, i believe you said you owned an album called The Pipers Rock, featuring young uilleann pipers who are now famous. If you have it, could you burn a copy for me, as it's one I've been looking for for ages and can't find it.
