Deportees is absolutely wonderful. It's a collection of short stories based around the different cultures that now reside in Dublin. The title short story would make a brilliant sequel to the Committments.
Right so, John! My holidays were just what I needed, and I hope yours were, too. I'm draining my legs now and might have them out and ready to be filled on the 13th.
P.S.: My children know almost all the lyrics to "Monto," "Molly Malone," and "The Sick Note." If it wouldn't land me in the hole with Child Protective Services, I'd bring the young ones out, too.

I'm orginally from Dublin and have been living in Philadelphia for about 10 years. I play with local Folk/ Irish act Patrick's Head. We've toured extensively and opened up for/ toured with some of the bigger Irish and Irish American acts. I also run the Irish session at Fado on 15th and Locust in Philly every Tuesday night from 9pm-12.
