About Me:
I'm 2nd generation Irish American, mother of three and the publisher of Feis America magazine, a brand new family magazine for Irish dance enthusiasts in North America and beyond. I've just returned from the Mid-Atlantic Regional Irish Dancing Championships in Philly and am looking forward to peddling Feis America at the Worlds in April. I need help! This is a great job but tough to do with a skeleton crew. Anybody out there interested in helping me secure some good local information on things Irish to share in the magazine as well as drum up some modest advertising and editorial support? The UK magazine on ID will surely be gloriously represented, and I'd like to see us Irish Americans shine as brightly as we can for this historical event. Thank you!

Our family attended our first feis at the Irish American Home in Hartford, CT. Our daughter took 3rd place in the beginner reel. (She has only been taking classes since March.) We received the complementary copy of your magazine at the feis. We enjoyed it so much that we ordered a subscription. Please consider doing an article in the magazine about the first feis experience. Maybe the article could include information about what to expect, what to bring, even who to ask, etc. Our experience was wonderful and everyone was very helpful but we did feel a bit "feis impared" and feared we would make a mistake. We have limited knowledge of Irish dance but would be willing to help in any way we can. Thanks! PS You might find it interesting that our daughter is adopted from China but considers herself Irish because she loves Irish dance so much. She even wears T-shirts that say something like "Not only I am cute but I am Irish" :)
